VC Friday: Something fishy
(via Nintendo Wii Fanboy) - Filed under: News, Virtual Console, WiiWare Arguably more a relaxation tool than a game, Hudson's My Aquarium makes its western debut in the latest PAL update today. Its price, just 500 Wii Points, reflects its status as the Endless Ocean of WiiWare; it's definitely a good deal cheaper than the real thing.

Suda and Mikami love EA
(via Nintendo Wii Fanboy) - Filed under: NewsNothing makes EA sound like a warm, welcoming place than two people used to dealing with Japanese publishers. 1UP interviewed Suda51 and Shinji Mikami about their new horror game with EA, and the two have nothing but good to say about their treatment from the mega-corporation.

Wii Warm Up: Positioning
(via Nintendo Wii Fanboy) - Filed under: Wii Warm Up Think back to the first games you played on your Wii. Did you have to change the way you usually sit to play games? Discount anything you play standing; we're not talking about Wii Sports or Wii Fit here, but more traditional titles. Can you sit back and slouch, one leg slung over the arm of the sofa, or do you have to sit differently? We've noticed that positioning is a big part of a relaxed Wii gaming experiences -- you've got to find the right place for your hands depending on where and how your furniture is arranged.

Disaster: Day of Crisis gets Australian rating, could it actually release?
(via Nintendo Wii Fanboy) - Filed under: News Well now, it looks like we might be hearing more on Disaster: Day of Crisis soon. That is, if an Australian certification that recently popped up has anything to say about it. So, what's the deal? Your guess is as good as ours. The title received a Mature rating from the Australian classification board, on August 13th, so could the title be destined for a release this year? We can only hope.

An original RTS on Wii? It's Swords & Soldiers
(via Nintendo Wii Fanboy) - Filed under: News, Screens, WiiWareClick for the first screens We don't want to go jumping the gun on this one, but if there's a title that could come anywhere near rivaling the excitement we have for another WiiWare title, Mega Man 9, then this is it. Developed by the students that created de Blob (the original, not the still-awesome-looking THQ game set to release on Wii), Swords & Soldiers is "a sidescrolling real time strategy game.

More awesome, inaccessible Mega Man 9 stuff
(via Nintendo Wii Fanboy) - Filed under: Imports We could kind of ignore the E-tank energy drink, because we're actually quite happy not to be tempted into hoarding food products. But then Capcom had to go and announce a "Rockman Summer Festival," during which they'll give away all kinds of Mega Man-emblazoned tchotchkes that not even influential media powerhouses like ourselves will be able to get our hands on.

Point/Counterpoint: Pros and Conduits
(via Nintendo Wii Fanboy) - Filed under: Point/Counterpoint High Voltage Software's The Conduit has built up a high-density hype field since the company unveiled it, mostly due to some very enthusiastic words by Chief Creative Officer Eric Hofsinger. Add some nice-looking preview footage and the general frothing desire from Wii fans for the kind of games seen on the other systems (the kind in which players see from the perspective of a large man who shoots guns at aliens), and The Conduit is something that has fanboy eyes lighting up all over the place.

It's-a Mario World: Friends & Allies
(via Nintendo Wii Fanboy) - Filed under: It's-a Mario World Oh, hello there! You startled us. For some reason we've been so wrapped up in Wario World for Gamecube lately that we forgot we're supposed to be talking about Wario's goody-goody brother. So what if Wario World is five years old and was somewhat shrugged off by industry critics? How else are we supposed to satisfy our lust for treasure before Wario Land: Shake It arrives stateside? And don't tell us to try playing an actual Wario Land game on Game Boy, because we already did that.

Nerf N-Strike features Boom Blox-inspired game
(via Nintendo Wii Fanboy) - Filed under: News, Screens IGN has the first look at Nerf N-Strike, EA's Wii game that comes with a hybrid Zapper/Nerf dart gun. It's going to be marketed as a hybrid as well, apparently, being sold in both the Nerf and video game sections of retailers. We gawked at the awesome gun a few months back when it was first revealed, but this is the first info about the actual game.
