Hard Working American People
(via Nintendo Wii Fanboy) - Filed under: News Because there's nothing like heading to work as soon as you get home from work, Hudson is planning on bringing Hard Working People to North America. There's just one thing: it may not actually be called Hard Working People when it gets here. The game's final title is up for debate, or rather, vote; on Hudson's website, you can choose from possible titles like Help Wanted (currently in the lead), the good ol' Hard Working People, and Job Heroes, among others.

Wii Warm Up: Preference Man
(via Nintendo Wii Fanboy) - Filed under: Wii Warm Up The Mega Man series is loaded with Robot Masters. Over the eight main-series games, there have been 64 (including the two from Mega Man Powered Up -- why not), and that doesn't even begin to encompass the enormous crowd of themed robots who jump around in a prescribed pattern and fire some kind of stealable weapon at (a) Mega Man.

LucasArts mad about MotionPlus?
(via Nintendo Wii Fanboy) - Filed under: Rumors Despite it being arguably the best thing to come from Nintendo's E3 line-up, everyone isn't happy about MotionPlus. At the top of the list of disgruntled folk is none other than LucasArts. Why? Well, according to a blurb from the latest issue of Game Informer, which was transcribed by a GAFfer (the one with the Arkham Asylum reveal), third parties weren't privy to the info before Nintendo's press conference (if they read us, they would have learned about it a day beforehand).

le Blob
(via Nintendo Wii Fanboy) - Filed under: Video For some reason, this French-language trailer for de Blob got a wide release on the web, one which we are helping to propagate, which only serves to make our surprise at its spread more ironic. We can't help it, though -- de Blob is just such a joy to look at that we want to share any video content we see.

Commence chin stroking: New book mixes Zelda and Philosophy
(via Nintendo Wii Fanboy) - Filed under: Fan stuffZelda fan Luke Cuddy was so inspired by his favorite franchise that he went one step further than scribbling down some fan-fiction: he actually compiled a book on Zelda, tied it in with his knowledge of pop philosophy, and found a publisher for it.Okay, so it's probably not going to be Sartre or anything, but if you do purchase this when it releases on November 28th, you'll be able to ponder such musings as: How does the gamer experience the game? Does Link have a will, or do gamers project their wills onto him? How does time function? Can Hyrule be seen as an ideal society? Can the game be enjoyable without winning? Deeeeep, man.

Let your voice be heard in our poll past the break.

Rumor: Australian retailers pass on Rock Band
(via Nintendo Wii Fanboy) - Filed under: RumorsFor some reason, according to a rumor posted by IGN, stores in Australia are expressing a lack of interest in carrying Rock Band. And by "for some reason" we mean "because EA set exorbitant prices and delayed the release for a year." As the rumor goes, retailers aren't too happy about the idea of stocking a game that will be both older and more expensive than Guitar Hero: World Tour (which will probably not already be old when it comes out).

Cheaper, sleeker, just as pointless: the latest portable Wii screen
(via Nintendo Wii Fanboy) - Filed under: News, Peripherals, Screens Portable screens for home consoles, we will never understand you. Playing Wii Sports in the car? Did nobody learn anything about the serious dangers of bowling in confined spaces from the Japanese Wii safety manual? And all on a tinier screen than you'd ever use at home?Clearly, not everybody is so indifferent.

Sega has a surprise for Leipzig
(via Nintendo Wii Fanboy) - Filed under: News, Rumors Sega might have spent the last few years dragging our beloved memories of Sonic through the dirt, but like an abused, battered spouse, we always return to the company's embrace. They'll change this time, we tell ourselves before each new Sega title is revealed.

Overlord moving his minions over to Wii
(via Nintendo Wii Fanboy) - Filed under: NewsClick to see more screens Remember that PS3 and Xbox 360 game Overlord? No? Well, you aren't alone (it was kind of like Pikmin, only less good), but Codemasters has decided to bring the IP over to Wii anyway. Thankfully, though, they're building a new title from the ground up.

Virtually Overlooked: All Night Nippon Super Mario Bros.
(via Nintendo Wii Fanboy) - Filed under: Virtually OverlookedWeird limited releases like All-Night Nippon Super Mario Bros. are exactly the kind of thing we imagined when Nintendo revealed the Virtual Console, and of course none of it has appeared. Since it's financially trivial and requires no real commitment of any kind to dump a game on the Virtual Console, there doesn't seem to be any reason not to put obscure games of historical or novelty interest on the service, and yet Nintendo and other companies have yet to jump at the opportunity beyond the occasional rare game like The Dynastic Hero.

Ubisoft sued over Yourself Fitness Wii port that never happened
(via Nintendo Wii Fanboy) - Filed under: NewsResponDesign is a little ticked off. If you ever played Yourself!Fitness for the Xbox, PC or PS2, know that they had a Wii version planned to capitalize on the success of Nintendo's Wii Fit. Ubisoft was developing My Fitness Coach, with an agreement between themselves and ResponDesign to use some of Yourself!Fitness's assets, including the virtual trainer Maya, in the game.

Mega Man 9's item shop is the future of Mega Man's past
(via Nintendo Wii Fanboy) - Filed under: News, WiiWare Though it's intended as a sort of continuation of Mega Man 2, Mega Man 9 still manages to sneak in some elements from the later games. The item store is full of things that have shown up in Mega Man 6 and later, which is fine! We like later Mega Man games, and the idea of synthesizing the best elements from the whole series is a sound one.
