Nintendo: VC announcements are our turf
(via Nintendo Wii Fanboy) - Filed under: News, Virtual Console Seeking some kind of explanation or justification for the disparity between VC releases as announced by publishers -- which would have given us Mega Man, Samurai Shodown II, and Ys Book I & II -- and the actual releases (two games that aren't any of those), GoNintendo's RMC contacted Nintendo.

Wii Warm Up: What's 'very affordable' for you?
(via Nintendo Wii Fanboy) - Filed under: Wii Warm Up Iwata's interview yesterday definitely sparked some debate within our little community here, but it would seem a lot of you didn't exactly chime in with your own thoughts on 'very affordable.' So, what price point would you like to see Wii MotionPlus set at? Is $20 a sweet

Tenchu IV is jerky, graceful
(via Nintendo Wii Fanboy) - Filed under: Video Tenchu IV's animations are the very definition of a mixed bag. The player-controlled kittens, as seen above, look graceful when they move (as cats tend to do), but we're not exactly convinced by the human death animations, which seem to feature enemies jerking about like electrocuted dogs.

(via Nintendo Wii Fanboy) - Filed under: News While lobbying questions about Spyborgs and, uh, Zack & Wiki 2 (oh how we wish it wasn't such a pipe dream), Capcom's Corporate Officer/VP of Strategic Planning & Business Development, Christian Svensson, kind of explained why the game was missing from E3.

The best Mushroom Men trailer you'll see today
(via Nintendo Wii Fanboy) - Filed under: VideoThis latest trailer for Mushroom Men: The Spore Wars may be one of the all-around best trailers for anything we've seen in a while. The bombastic, B-movie-style narration and big "ADVENTURE!!" titles lend the trailer a sort of goofy excitement, and the gameplay footage is visible for once.

VC Tuesday: Too Many Games Tuesday
(via Nintendo Wii Fanboy) - Filed under: Virtual Console, ImportsWe aren't sure if Nintendo of Japan operates like Nintendo of America, but if their website can actually be trusted to predict the VC and WiiWare releases for a given week, this week's crop of games is embarrassingly huge. Five Virtual Console games, only two of which are shooters (and one of which, Twinbee, is genuinely worth five hundred points, even if it is a not-so-great port of an arcade game), and three WiiWare games.

Guys, Rock Band 2 might not be totally gimped
(via Nintendo Wii Fanboy) - Filed under: News, Interviews Remember how Rock Band on the Wii landed in stores stripped of the downloadable content and online play seen in other versions? And do you also remember how Harmonix pinned the blame for this on the Wii itself? Well believe it or not, it looks like Harmonix may have found a way to include both in Rock Band 2.

Deca Sports does more than Deca Sales
(via Nintendo Wii Fanboy) - Filed under: News The Wii Sports formula -- accessible sports-based minigames -- has worked once again. Hudson sent out a press release announcing that 700,000 copies of Deca Sports have shipped worldwide. Just imagine how much business the company would have done if they had kept the ridiculous Sporta name around the world? Probably a bit less, actually.

Born for Wii: Viewtiful Joe
(via Nintendo Wii Fanboy) - Filed under: Born for WiiDon't you just hate it when a menacing antagonist reaches through the screen at your local cinema, absconds with your girlfriend, and forces you to obtain all kinds of awesome powers in your quest to rescue her? Okay, so maybe it doesn't happen that often in the real world.

(via Nintendo Wii Fanboy) - Filed under: News, HomebrewHomebrewer Crediar has recorded a video of a truly epic series of Wii Menu hacks that pretty much bust the system open. All kinds of hacks are on display, both cosmetic and substantial. Most notably, Crediar has opened up the system not just to discs from every region, but channels (which suggests Virtual Console games), and, according to the text included with the video at DCEmu, GameCube games as well.

Fatal Frame IV plagued with bugs
(via Nintendo Wii Fanboy) - Filed under: News, Imports We've been riding the Fatal Frame IV hype train as enthusiastically as any other site in recent months. The Tecmo/Grasshopper Manufacture crossover has long looked beautiful, engrossing, and hiding-behind-the-sofa scary. Furthermore, it's being published by Nintendo, which more or less guarantees a good time, right?Wrong.
