E308: Giant LEGO Batman questions everything you ever believed in
(via Nintendo Wii Fanboy) - Filed under: Fan stuff There's something incredibly unsettling about a giant Batman (and Robin), made out of LEGO, designed to promote a LEGO Batman game. First LEGO, then Batman, then Batman as LEGO, then Batman in a LEGO game, then a giant LEGO Batman made out of LEGO .

(via Nintendo Wii Fanboy) - Filed under: News Hot Guitar Hero: World Tour news out of Activision's press conference: Metallica songs will be featured as DLC in all three versions of the game. The rising costs of multiplayer Wii
(via Nintendo Wii Fanboy) - Filed under: Peripherals, Controller We're already fascinated by the potential of the Wii MotionPlus, but there is one potential sticking point: the price. Gizmodo went to the trouble of calculating how much the Wii would cost with enough Wii Remotes, Nunchuks, and MotionPlus add-ons (the site estimated -- conservatively in our view -- that the device would cost $15) for four players, and promptly saw the Wii's "cheapest console" tag evaporate.

E308: Finding clues in Sam & Max screens
(via Nintendo Wii Fanboy) - Filed under: Screens Not a PC gamer, eh? Don't worry -- one of the best (and funniest) PC adventure games is heading Wii-ward this August. There's not much that Telltale or Dreamcatcher can reveal about Sam & Max: Season One, considering it's a port and all. To make up for it, though, they tossed in some fresh screens for adventure fiends to check out.

E308: Dokapon Kingdom trailer is a delight
(via Nintendo Wii Fanboy) - Filed under: Video Atlus sure knows how to make a trailer exciting -- you can forget needing that cup of coffee after watching this. While our interest was only mildly piqued before by the adorable-looking boardgame-meets-RPG known as Dokapon Kingdom, this video really managed to put the title on our radar, nearing the "Do Want" list.

E308: Mega Man 9 in motion -- enough said
(via Nintendo Wii Fanboy) - Filed under: Video, WiiWare If JC's glowing Mega Man 9 impressions didn't get your heart pumping, we can only assume that you have no heart. (You might want to go and get that checked out.) As for the rest of us, who sit here clamoring for more Mega Man 9 -- ask, and you shall receive.

E308: The Conduit, for your inner graphics whore
(via Nintendo Wii Fanboy) - Filed under: Video Look what we found while browsing GameTrailers for the best part of half an hour and being exposed to that awful yoof-oriented Extra Fusion gum advert far too many times: moar Conduit. This footage was snapped on the E3 showfloor yesterday, and features a High Voltage developer (it's not revealed who) gushing about normal mapping and a "lot of effects usually seen on PS3 and 360" as his colleague navigates and blasts his way through alien-infested streets on easy mode.

E308: Viewing the crummy half of Sonic Unleashed
(via Nintendo Wii Fanboy) - Filed under: VideoIn a lot of ways, Sonic Unleashed looks like a traditional Sonic title. That is, until you peel back the outer shell and find that half of the game is pretty generic and crappy. To quote my partner in crime here at E3, JC Fletcher, "isn't of making more crummy friends for Sonic, they made him his own crummy friend.

E308: MySims Kingdom cheerfully strolls into view
(via Nintendo Wii Fanboy) - Filed under: Video MySims Kingdom movieby dsfanboyalt There are a lot of things we don't know about MySims Kingdom: its firm release date ("fall" is a big window), its purpose, or why all these little Sim guys are just so freakin' happy all the time. What we do know is that it's just as cute as its predecessor, the kingdom-less MySims, and the debut trailer above proves it.

Fatal Frame IV outshines E3
(via Nintendo Wii Fanboy) - Filed under: Video Fatal Frame IV: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse might not be an E3-related goodie, but truthfully, it's probably one of the best things we've seen this week. In the video above you can watch a trailer for this spine-chilling, oh-man-it-will-definitely-be-super-scary game, which is sure to please some of you that were left unimpressed by yesterday's Nintendo keynote.

E308: Half-Blood Prince goodies obliviate memories of the previous Harry Potter
(via Nintendo Wii Fanboy) - Filed under: Video We're absolute suckers. We'll be the first ones to admit it. After Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix was, well, pretty terrible, we thought we'd shy away from the next game in the series. License-based drivel isn't exactly our favorite genre of video game, after all.

The VC Advantage: It continues to be a secret to everybody
(via Nintendo Wii Fanboy) - Filed under: The VC Advantage Old Man, the mysterious old man who helps Link in various ways as he quests through Hyrule (except when he's shooting fireballs at Link) rarely has trouble making money. When he feels generous, sure, he'll give you something for free, or for the low, low cost of mastering its use.

Pass your Castlevaniastic Judgment on these new screens
(via Nintendo Wii Fanboy) - Filed under: News, Screens The judgment of a Fanboy is brutal, terrifying and often accompanied by various LOLs and ZOMGs. In fact, the revelation that Castlevania: Judgment for the Wii was to be a fighting game resulted in the biggest ZOMG of them all. Hey, Konami may be tampering with a classic formula, and pitting classic characters against each other for no excuse but to witness a violent showdown -- but what the heck is wrong with that?Bring down your gavel of screenshot-hating justice after viewing the latest images in the gallery.

E308: A new Pikmin sprouts
(via Nintendo Wii Fanboy) - Filed under: News Shigeru Miyamoto just dropped the most mega of tons over at Nintendo's 2008 E3 Developer Roundtable, and in the most understated way possible. Speaking to a crowd of around 100 press members, Shiggy casually announced: "We're making Pikmin." And that was it: a mere three words, but some of the most precious we've heard yet during this year's E3.

Revolutionary: More Motion
(via Nintendo Wii Fanboy) - Filed under: Peripherals, Tech stuff, Controller, Features, Revolutionary We've been waiting since E3 '06 to hear details regarding Wii Music, and the anxiety brought on by rumors of an MMO Animal Crossing has been unbearable at times, but despite those big reveals at E3 '08, the biggest Wii news was the announcement of the Wii MotionPlus.

Rumors persist that the down-and-out Erinaceinaean will grab any work he can in his desperate bid to scrape together enough gold rings for his next rent payment, and here is the damning proof, reader: a snatched shot of the impoverished blue one in forthcoming shakefest Samba de Amigo.

After a talk with an unnamed Nintendo representative, Siliconera is reporting that the early versions of the add-on deliver an underwhelming nine hours of battery life on a fresh pair of AAs.

E308: Konami booth tour in photos
(via Nintendo Wii Fanboy) - Filed under: Fan stuff, ScreensClick to take the photo tour We stopped by the Konami booth today, to check out all of their titles (and stand around, looking all cool like we do). Surprisingly, the folks at Konami did not object to us taking some photos of their space. We'd like to say our tour includes several shots of Igarashi, but he was on a break while we were there.

E308: Miyamoto comments on Wii's storage solution issue
(via Nintendo Wii Fanboy) - Filed under: News Kind of weird how storage issues never came up at the E3 keynote, huh? We thought so, too. And, when Shigeru Miyamoto got cornered by the folks at IGN, they asked him about the lack of storage love."There isn't anything that we can announce today, but we have been thinking along a variety of different lines regarding this matter for some time now," Shiggy said.

E308: Reggie baffled by outcry over conference
(via Nintendo Wii Fanboy) - Filed under: News, InterviewsSo it seems a good portion of the internets didn't like Nintendo's E3 2008 press conference, with many accusing the company of forgetting "core" gamers, whoever they're supposed to be. The negative response from the online community quickly got back to bossman Reggie Fils-Aime, who immediately announced a new Zelda game admitted that he couldn't understand the fuss.

Nintendo: no fridge updates planned
(via Nintendo Wii Fanboy) - Filed under: NewsThat "storage problem" bingo space is going to be pristine forever -- no marking shall touch it. Even if the bingo card extended out of the keynote and across E3 (unless they make a surprise announcement later or something). Nintendo senior director of corporate communications, Charlie Scibetta, told a combined Fanboy/Joystiq Interview Squad that the company isn't planning to fix the VC/WiiWare/DLC storage issue anytime soon.

E308: Miyamoto 'flattered' by Microsoft Avatars
(via Nintendo Wii Fanboy) - Filed under: Interviews Shigeru Miyamoto played the role of diplomat to perfection when IGN asked for his views on Microsoft's (plainly Mii-influenced) Avatars. The Nintendo guru claims he found the nabbing of his personalized, blobby creations to be "quite flattering," and then went on to suggest that "the basic ideas behind those two different systems are different, and because of that I think they will probably develop in different ways.

Naruto: Clash of the Screens ... 2
(via Nintendo Wii Fanboy) - Filed under: News, Screens As a plucky young ninja, Naruto does heaps of fighting. More fighting than a mob of pre-teens looking to grab that last copy of Pokemon Rangers 2. The difference here is that Naruto -- the anime -- is pretty cool, and occasionally spawns a few decent products -- the games.

(via Nintendo Wii Fanboy) - Filed under: News When I arrived at my XSEED/Marvelous appointment here at E3, I had one question on my mind: how awesome is your Little King's Story game? Being the incredibly professional blogger that I am, I came up with that hard-hitting question following two days of grueling punishment at the show with a combined 8-9 hours sleep.
