NBA 2K9 Sales Reach Two Million
(via Edge Online) - Worldwide sales of 2k Sports’ NBA 2K9 have passed the two million mark. The Xbox 360, PS3, PS2 and PC basketball sim released last October. As it celebrates a decade of the franchise this year, the company also confirmed plans to release NBA 2K10: Anniversary Edition for Xbox 360 and PS3 this autumn.

News: Microsoft: Ads won't interfere with Xbox Live experience
(via Game Industry) - Microsoft has responded to concerns over a recent announcement it would be bringing Silverlight adverts to its Live service, saying the adverts won't interfere with the gaming experience for users. Xbox Live's Larry Hryb posted on his Major Nelson blog about the move, reassuring gamers that Microsoft intends to enhance the service with its adverts, not interfere with it.

Achievements: Battlefield 1943
(via 360 Monster) - We have just added the Achievements for Battlefield 1943 on the Xbox 360. The list itself looks set to be a fairly easy 200 GamerScore though possibly time-consuming with players having to play one hundred matches in order to unlock the 'Tour of Duty II' achievement. UK Console Installed Base Hits 24.2 Million
(via Edge Online) - The current generation UK console installed base has hit 24.2 million units, according to GfK Chart-Track data released by retailer Game. As of June 27, 2009, DS sales were approaching ten million units. In comparison, PSP sales sat at 3.3 million units. Wii comfortably led the way on the home console front with 5.

(via Game Industry) - The installed base of consoles in the UK has reached 24.2 million units in the UK, according to data from GfK Chart-Track. As of June 27, 2009, the Wii has sold 5.4 million units, 2.3 million up on the 3.1 million units sold by June 28, 2008.

No More Heroes Designer Keen On Project Natal Xbox 360
(via Kotaku) - While originally rumored for the Xbox 360, No More Heroes is a Wii title. Though, Microsoft's Project Natal announcement at E3 might be enough to lure Suda's upcoming motion controlled games to the Xbox 360. "We developed No More Heroes with the Wii remote in mind," says series designer Goichi Suda, "but now I want to think about games with Natal in mind.
